Stop The Traffik

We are fast approaching 'Freedom Day', which is on the 25th March.

I have been really challenged whilst preparing for our Justice Sunday meeting at 'HCF (Havering Christian Fellowship)'. I have been preparing a presentation about the small things we can do to make a difference in our society. For example:- buying 'Fair Trade' (a very controversial issue! Your thoughts would be appreciated), recycling and banking with an ethical bank such as 'Smile'.

I have had so many conversations about things like Fair Trade and it has helped me to really establish my thoughts on the whole thing.

As a Christian I want to do as much as I can to be able to help others who need a better wage so that they can survive and not have to work 18 hour days just to make ends slightly meet. If buying tea and paying a bit more for it does this then I am willing.

I must confess I haven't always felt this way. I use to be so cynical about it. But I really feel we have a responsibility to make a difference and not stand back whilst this is going on in our world.

People trafficking must stop. This whole thing really breaks my heart and it breaks God's heart.

If you have any more ideas on how we can help in these situations I would love to hear from you.
